African Proverb

If a fly does not get off a dead body, he is buried with it

The meaning...

This traditional African Proverb represents the burden that many people take on. If we hold on the past we will then lose our life to the issues we held onto. Along with that, if we are stuck on a certain person or problem, we let it eat us inside. We let whatever we want affect us. If we let negative issues, people, and thoughts haunt us. We will then become weighed down with the weight of the world.

Sartell Proverb

While the tree continues to grow, the boy contiunes to climb.

The meaning...

Sartell's expectations are very high for athletics and education. As the bar raises we continue to achieve our goals. As students we continue to strive to be our best, even though expectations continue to soar.
