Dear Parents and Families,
It’s that time of year that we share our gratefulness! Here are a few things I am thankful for this year…
T is for the Teachers who make a difference in our kids’ lives!
H is for the helping hands of our Paras, office, kitchen and custodial staff!
A is for the academics we teach, so our kids can learn new things!
N is for the neighborhood of MIDLAND, a wonderful community!
K is for our KIDS! They are the reason we do our work!
S is for sisters, brothers, moms, dads and relatives who make up our Midland family!
Our Midland staff would like to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
With a grateful heart,
~Mrs. Dawson

Midland needs volunteers!
Please consider being a Midland Super Hero by coming to our rescue and volunteering to attend JA BizTown and/or 5th grade camp!
December 16th 5th grade students will be applying civic and economic lessons as they fulfill various “jobs” needed to run a city. They will be in Auburn for the day.
We are also looking for volunteers to go to 5th grade camp, March 4th – 6th.
Our district’s volunteer application form is available on-line at fpschools.org.
We know that regular attendance is important to school success! Therefore, our School Improvement Plan has an attendance focus; we want more of our students to be here regularly. Missing 9 or fewer days in a school year is the district goal for students. As we approach the end of the 1st Trimester on November 20th, students who have missed 3 or fewer days are on track to meet this important goal. If your student has missed 6 or more days, they are at risk for being chronically absent. If there is something we can do to help, please let us know! We are here to help. Thank you for sharing your kids with us every day!
