Holy Rosary School Derby
NEWSLETTER / TERM 2/ WEEK 10/ 30th June 2023

Message From Miss Melanie
The term has quickly come to an end and what a great finish we have had!!! We finished the term with our NAIDOC activities across week 10. Thank you to Miss Lesley and Miss Jocelyn, in particular, for their great organisation of the all of the events. Also a huge thank you to all the volunteers who assisted with activities and lastly a BIG thank you to all the families who attended. Our students had a fabulous week and enjoyed all of the experiences.
Our last assembly for the term was held on Friday 23rd June, with Yr3/4B presenting. They did a fabulous job and their rap song was very entertaining. Congratulations to all the merit certificate students along with all who got a certificate for attendance over 90%.
Thank you to all of our families for the fantastic support for the first half of the school year. Our attendance across the school is up and this is due to the support we get from you to get your child to school every day. We can't do our job without this support and children learn best when coming every day - hopefully they have all been sharing what they have been learning with you. We would love to see parent/grandparents/guardians coming into help with activities in classes. Please see your child's teacher if you would like to volunteer some of your time to help in class, it will also give you a chance to see what your child is learning in class too.
Lastly we wish you all a restful break and we look forward to seeing all of you when we return on Monday 17th July.
God Bless.
Miss Melanie
