Our school community definitely brought together the "fun" and the "funds." We welcomed the WHS Wildcat cheerleaders and leadership students, the official Wildcat himself, and many of our community members and families. We appreciated everyone who cheered on our Coyote runners! Unbelievably, our PTC and school community raised a total of $43,721!!!

Sunset Ranch Elementary has been awarded GOLD for successful PBIS implementation. Our school is a recipient within the California PBIS Coalition’s System of Recognition, reflecting excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS.

Partnering with you is a top priority for the success of our students and school. Therefore, Sunset Ranch is in the process of nominating and electing four new members to the School Site Council (SSC) for the 2022-2023 school year with a 2-year term commitment. The purpose of the SSC is to develop and approve the School Plan for Student Achievement; which is a comprehensive plan designed to improve the effectiveness of the school program and is in alignment with our Strategic Plan. The SSC also supplies input on the Safety Plan and RUSD Local Control Accountability Plan. In order to accomplish these tasks, the SSC meets four times a year to assess student needs, develop and approve the plans, and monitor progress.

The selection of members is a two-part process. First, the nomination process will be open now through September 30th at 4 p.m. Please submit your name and information in this FORM to self-nominate or nominate someone other than yourself. The school site will contact each nominee prior to placing names on the ballot for an election. Second, the election process will be open from October 3rd through October 10th. At that time, another email will be sent for voting. The nominee with the highest number of votes will be elected to the SSC for a 2-year term commitment.

SSC meetings are 3:10 - 4:30 p.m. on 11/28/22, 2/13/23, and 4/24/22 at Sunset Ranch in the Administration Building Conference Room. And new members will attend a district training on October 17th at 3:00pm.

Welcome back to school for the 2022-23 school year. During the upcoming year, MEALS WILL BE FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS!

Although meals are free, we still need families to complete the Federal Meal Application to direct your State and Federal tax dollars to RUSD. This funding is used to provide counselors, intervention and tutoring programs, mental health and behavioral supports, full day TK and Kindergarten programs, and more.
