In ELA, we are jumping into our next set of skills: figurative language, sequencing events, compare/contrast! The texts we will be using for practicing on skills will all focus on Halloween. Plus, it's Red Ribbon Week! Wear PJs on Monday, dress like your fave MBI teacher on Tuesday, decade day on Wednesday, favorite Netflix character on Thursday, & Red/Mustang gear on Friday.

Here is a link to Ms. Owens' Classroom wish list if you'd like to contribute to her room. It would be most appreciated! She will add things to it throughout the year:

Social Studies - Mrs. Taylor

Monday & Tuesday we will have a presentation from the Counselors about ICAP (Individual Career Academic Plan), this is a program designed to help students start determining what career fields suit their interests today. The program continues through high school, helping students decide what courses would best help them achieve their goals.

We will continue learning and applying information about culture and start learning about economic systems.

Please check the website for homework and absent work, grading policy, and classroom needs/wants.

Science - Mrs. Clanahan

We are almost finished with the Field Force Unit! We will take one more day to discuss Static Electricity. Then we will take a Quiz. A-Day will take their quiz on Wednesday and B-Day will take the quiz on Thursday. There is not a study guide for the quiz because it will count as bonus points.

Please make sure all missing work is completed. Worksheet copies can be found here if needed.
