Family Connect Nights
Family Connect Nights are designated as homework-free evenings. We hope that students and their families set aside devices, and use these nights as a time to connect with one another.

Answers
A: Last year students were able to keep their backpacks with them all day because 60% of our students were not in the building. This year with more students in our building, many classrooms do not have enough space to safely allow backpacks as backpacks block the aisles. Students may use their lockers to store backpacks during the school day. They are able to visit the locker throughout the day. We are sorry you see this as a surprise. It is sometimes necessary for things to change in response to circumstances.
Q: Will there be a curriculum night?
A: Yes, curriculum night will take place virtually as it did last year. More information is coming soon. All info will be included in the newsletter.
Please note: We have had a few comments regarding traffic, our car line, and consideration for students walking home.
Please be certain that you are obeying all traffic laws as you travel to RMS, through the car line, and on your return trip home. Please be considerate of others. Simply being kind to one another makes a big difference. Look for students walking home on our sidewalks and at cross walks. Pedestrians have the right of way!

COVID-19 Reporting Info
As we experienced last year, processes are continuously improved. We encourage you to review that information using this link. Please know that these processes do sometimes change in response to new information, but this is a reliable site to use.
- If your child is showing symptoms, please do not send them to school.
- Please communicate the status of your child to:
Attendance secretary: Kelle Russo; krusso81@forsyth.k12.ga.us.
Communication is important to ensure that our records are updated and that the teachers are aware of your student's attendance.
Parent Permission Forms
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
If you have not already done so, please log into your Parent Portal account and sign the required beginning of the school year Permission Forms. Forsyth County Schools (FCS) has extended the deadline to complete the forms to August 31. For instructions about how to electronically sign the forms, click here.
Only 1 parent needs to sign for each student. Parents must sign first, followed by student (s) signature. In many cases, parents have signed the forms and the student has NOT signed. Please take a moment to help us out and ensure that your forms are complete.
Contact Kelle Russo; krusso81@forsyth.k12.ga.us if you are unable to sign your forms.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter!
