Mother Son Dance Party
Mark your calendars for Oakview's First Mother Son Dance on Friday, April 13th. Grades K, 1st, and 2nd will attend from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Grades 3rd, 4th and 5th will attend from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. We will have fun music, prizes, and a photo booth to capture the memories! Plus a variety of snacks, including a snow cone for each child. A photographer will also be on site to take your picture. Order tickets at www.oakviewpta.com.
Student News
Oakview's Student Council hosted its annual Give a Hoot Food Drive March 19-26. The school donated 8,200 cans and boxed food items to God's Pantry. Because of their hard work and generous donations, Smoke on the Water is donating an additional $4,000 worth of food. The Oakview Owls came together in an amazing way to help feed people who are hungry in our area.
Chorus students participated in the 38th annual Spring Sing at the Peace Center on Tuesday, March 27th. This is an auditioned group of over 250 elementary students from across the district. These students worked hard and did an awesome job!
Oakview Elementary 4th grade and 5th grade teams win first place at the 2018 Greenville County Schools District science fair! In addition, Allison Kim wins second place overall in the individual student competition! Congratulations Oakview scientists!

- The 4th annual iMAGINE Upstate STEAM Festival on April 7, 2018 will feature interactive exhibits and live stage shows from more than 70 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) organizations. It's FREE and open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the West End of Greenville! FREE rides on Greenlink buses all day! For more information visit:https://imagineupstate.org
- Parents/volunteers, remember to always bring your identification with you when you wish to visit/volunteer at school.
- ARMES (Arts Reaching Middle and Elementary Schools), is a tuition-free program for gifted and talented students in 3rd through 8th grades who live in Greenville County. If you are interested in nominating your child, please complete the online process by April 12th, 2018. This would be for the 2018-2019 school year.
