Peek at the Week
Here is what is coming up next week!
Writing-We are beginning a new unit and going back to personal narratives. The students will use what they know from the previous narrative unit to plan, organize, draft, and complete a final copy in two weeks!
Reading-We are beginning a unit called Once Upon a Time and looking at classic literature such as folktales, fairytales, fables, tall tales and legends. This week we are concentrating on folktales and the qualities of a folktale.
Math-We are beginning a review unit on multiplication and division and extending our strategies to multiplying up to a 4 digit number by a 1 digit number.
Science-We have begun a new unit on the Water Cycle. We are also reviewing the states of matter and the properties of matter and how they connect to the water cycle.
Texas History-The students are continuing the foldable on the 6 major battles in Texas.

Join us in the library for Science Fair Research Night on Dec. 10, 2015 (5:30-6:30) to get ideas for the science fair, look through the science fair rubrics and check out some cool science books. We will have some older science fair boards you may look at , and will post important due dates for the projects. Science team teachers will be there to answer any questions you may have.
