WYWLA WEEKLY UPDATE
December 17, 2017
Holiday Goodie Bar
Let's show our teachers and staff some homemade holiday love! With your help, the PTSA will create a cookie bar in the teacher's lounge on the last day of school. Please bake a few dozen of your favorite family treats! We will provide boxes so our teachers can take home an assortment to their family (or eat them all on the ride home... we won't tell).
To make life easier, a PTSA member will be in the carpool circle to receive your treats on Dec 19th starting at 7am. Or you can drop off any items on Dec 18th during the PTSA meeting from 6pm-7:30pm.
Please have your goodies labeled and if you want to include a recipe, we will make copies for the staff. Also, if your baked goods have nuts, please label.
WINTER BREAK

Carpool Reminders
Please help us keep our students safe!
We are asking all carpool drivers to follow our carpool procedures for drop-off and pick-up. All students must be dropped off and picked up in the main traffic circle. High school students should not be dropped off or picked up near the Currin Building. All WYWLA families should enter and exit from Western Blvd using the service road. Please pull completely around the circle to unload or pick up.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE FOLLOW THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE ACCESS ROAD. THE SPEED LIMIT IS 20 MPH!!!
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and for modeling the way!
PTSA MEETING
PTSA NO FUSS FUNDRAISER
In lieu of going door to door to sell discount cards, candles, or cookie dough, this year the PTSA is joining the trend of offering the “No Fuss” Fundraiser to raise funds for the 2017-2018 operating budget. Our goal this year is to revive our cultural arts program by bringing new events and an artist residency to the school. We also want to provide more quality guest speakers from a variety of disciplines to motivate and inspire our owls. Additionally, we need to increase our budget for scholarships, field trip assistance, teacher grants, teacher appreciation events, and academic celebrations. To accomplish this, we need help from our WYWLA community and supporters. Please see the attached flyer to see how you can help. You can also donate by visiting the PTSA website. Click Here!
