Dear Dimond Families:
We are halfway through the 1st quarter! We cannot stress enough the importance of staying on top of assignments and getting caught up. Please check Q to review student progress and contact teachers if you have any questions.
Fall conferences are set for October 25th.
Student Dismissal: 11:00 am
Conferences: 11:45 am- 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Thank you for being a partner in the learning of your student.
Attendance Matters!!
Please ONLY leave an attendance related message on the attendance line 742-7009. You can also put your students’ absence in Q Parent Connect and that is checked at least every 15-30 minutes and an excellent way to ensure no inadvertent mistakes are made.
If there's an immediate need for a Blue Pass (student leaving school) please call our front desk line 742-7019 . If you leave an attendance message on the Nurses line, Activities Office, Registrar's Office, Counseling Office or Administrative Assistance’s Office it is NOT guaranteed to be entered into Q in a timely manner.
If you believe your students’ absence was reported incorrectly, please have them go to the Attendance Office and obtain an Attendance Correction Form.
Excused Absences
Per ASD Policy, the following conditions may result in an excused absence from school:
Illness
Death or serious illness in the immediate family

All other absences are considered unexcused by the school, even if parents contact the school to excuse the absence. These absences can be called Pre-Arranged Unexcused Absences. If you know your student is going to be absent due to a family vacation, subsistence trip, non-school sponsored activity, please have your student complete a Pre-Approved Absence Request form and submit it to the Attendance Office. Students are also responsible for working with teachers to gather work that will be missed during the absence.
