May 25 - Last Day of School Information
We will continue our tradition of the last day of school, May 25, 2022, being a half day. On the last day of school, students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm with the intent that buses exit the parking lot at 12:25 pm. Parent pick-up will begin at 12:15 pm.
Please note we will not serve breakfast on May 25, 2022.

To our fifth grade students and families, you will be missed. We wish you all the best at JMMS! We know you will represent Strausser Elementary in the best way possible.

Open House for the 2022-2023 school year will be on August 11, 2022, from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
Medication Pick Up from the clinic
Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication by Monday, June 6. The office will be open between the hours of Monday -Thursday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All medications must be picked up by a Parent or Guardian. Students are not permitted to take medication home on the bus except students with Self-Carry orders for epi-pens and asthma inhalers. We will dispose of any medication not picked up by June 6. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse 330-834-4652.
Supply List/Student Calendar for 22-23
Beginning May 26,2022, the 22-23 student supply lists will be posted here on our school's homepage. On the last day of school, students will also bring home a hard copy of the supply list along with their progress report and a copy of the 22-23 district calendar.

It is hard to believe that we are in the final stretch of the school year, and summer is on its way. What are your children planning to do this summer? Here is a list of resources to get you started. There are links to family friendly events, sports, camps, and activities in our area. In addition, here is a list of other local resources. If your child would benefit from a summer program, and it is not affordable for your family, please don’t hesitate to contact our Family Support Specialist, Kathy Yaros (330-837-3501 x1769) to see if there is assistance available.

Summer Technology Resources
Parents have asked about the summer availability of the technology resources that your child utilized throughout the school year. Polaris will become inaccessible once school ends. However, Clever will be available until June 30. Most students are quite comfortable accessing the digital resources their teachers have linked in Clever. Kindergarten Registration for 2022-2023
Online kindergarten registration for the 22-23 school year is open, click here. Please complete the registration forms online and schedule an appointment in the Strausser office by calling 330-830-8056. Please note that to be eligible for kindergarten in the Fall of 2022, your child must be 5 on or before September 30, 2022.
Youth Robotics Summer Camp
If you have elementary or middle school-aged children interested in science or math, please see the linked flyer below for the week-long youth robotics summer camp that the JHS Robotics Club is sponsoring here in June, facilitated by the youth robotics expert team at One Byte At A Time. Campers in grades 2-8 will learn to build, program, and test their own robot design. Spaces are limited and the price is GREAT!
