R.A.V.E. REVIEW
Recognizing All Valuable Employees
Do you know an employee who makes HSE Schools a better place for others? Do you know someone who exemplifies the Mission of HSE Schools? Have you observed an employee who goes above and beyond their job responsibilities/duties to make a difference?
These individuals deserve a 5-star “RAVE Review!”
The goal of the RAVE (Recognizing All Valuable Employees) Review is to identify and honor those, in their contributions and service to HSE Schools, exemplify our mission. Click here to submit a nomination.
Important Reminder from HSE Food Services
Dear HSE Families:
For the last two years, the USDA has allowed all students to have access to school breakfast and lunch at no cost. Because of this, the district received significantly less applications for free & reduced lunch during that time. Beginning this school year, the USDA has ended this program. In order for school meals to be free or reduced, an application must be completed and reviewed by HSE Food Services to determine eligibility.
We have received a large number of Free & Reduced applications (both paper and online) and due to the volume, we are experiencing a delay in processing. Please know staff are working diligently to process all applications and hope to be finished by the end of next week.
Once the process is completed, a letter will be sent out. Applications will be approved based on the date they were originally submitted. Any charges incurred, if the applications are approved for free or reduced, will be retroactive to the date approved (application submission date).
Students will be able to receive a “complete meal” regardless of status, but will not be able to purchase “ala carte items” if their meal account has a negative balance. You may continue to check online for updates.
We apologize for any inconvenience the processing delay may have caused.
Thank you,
HSE Schools
