Tales2Go Introduces Caching and Lexile Search
A question we often get at Tales2Go is, "Can I listen to the entire story even if I lose my internet connection or it's spotty?" Now the answer is, "Yes!"
You will always need an internet connection to begin and cache your story onto your mobile device. You can now listen to your whole story even if you lose internet or your connection is spotty. Just don't close out of the app :)
We also are excited to announce that you can now search our titles by Lexile Level. Lexile is a great reference to use when choosing a title on Tales2Go. Lexile measures student reading ability and text complexity, not the listening ability of a child, which is typically higher than reading ability. Try it out!

June is National Audio Book Month
Tales2Go makes it SO easy for your students to be surrounded by sophisticated language and vocabulary words. Audio books are such a great way to get kids excited about reading.
Your students can listen at a higher level than they can typically read so they will be more interested in the titles and topics for their age!
Take some time this month (and this summer) to plan for your next school year! Here are some ideas:
- Begin listening rotations the first week of school. Have iPads or computers logged in and ready to listen.
- Prepare graphic organizers and lesson plans for listening by printing out copies from our site: www.tales2go.com/learning-resources.
- Mark favorites and bookmark stories you want to use with your students.
- Find grants/money (see below) to support your subscription to Tales2Go, headphones or splitters.
Finding Grants
In your applications, be sure to include how Tales2Go supports existing initiatives to increase literacy skills by increasing phonemic awareness and promoting a love of literature among otherwise reluctant readers. Tales2Go is an integral tool for students who are not reading on grade level by third grade-a group statistically more likely to drop out of school before high school graduation than their peers.
