Sherwood Updates

Dear Sherwood Families,

This week was full of excitement at Sherwood! We celebrated the 100th day of school on Monday and our 1st graders walked the halls with canes and hunched backs so our entire Sherwood community could see what it looks like to be 100 years old. What a fun experience!

On Tuesday we celebrated Valentine's Day by wearing festive colors and participating in a service project. Our students partnered with their school ‘buddies’ and packed “Breakfast Bags” for homeless & kids in foster care who rely heavily on the meals provided at school. When school is out of session for the Spring Break week, many kids struggle and worry about where to get their next meal; these items will provide nourishment to get through the week-long break. All items were provided by our amazing Sherwood PTO. Thank you also for your food donations that will go towards food for Fill a Heart for Kids in the future. A HUGE thank you to Leslie Cohen for spearheading this endeavor.

The Literati Kids Book Club is like a Book Fair in a box! Enjoy their curated selections and return the books you don't want in the box they came in. You will only get charged for the books you keep.
