Report Card Details
Your child’s winter report card will be available to view in the Parent Portal on Thursday, March 3rd. Please log into the parent portal to access your student’s report card. You may access the directions here or watch this video. If you need assistance with your login information for the Parent Portal, please contact our School Manager, Eva Parks (eparks@csdecatur.net).
City Schools of Decatur uses standards-based reporting to report K-2 student progress. In standards-based grading, reporting is based upon the progress toward mastery of the standards in each academic domain.
The report card is issued three times per year. The winter report card reports progress for terms 3 and 4. The report card includes meaningful comments from teachers, assessment on the domains, and feedback on IB's Learner Profile and work habits.
If you have any questions regarding report cards or the reporting process, please reach out to your child's teacher or our instructional coach, Dr. Muhlhausen (jmuhlhausen@csdecatur.net).

PE News
Wellness is an active process of making choices that lead to a healthy and fulfilling life. Every day, people make choices about how they spend their time, what they eat, and who they spend time with. These decisions create a healthy lifestyle.
This week as a family, walk and talk, or have a conversation at dinner about MENTAL/EMOTIONAL WELLNESS. Mental/emotional wellness refers to liking and accepting yourself, expressing and processing emotions, coping with the demands of daily life, and managing stress. What mental/emotional wellness habits does your family already have? Name a mental/emotional wellness habit your family would like to start or continue doing (ie. naming emotions, pause and breath breaks, having only one after school activity during the week).
Join the Decatur community on March 12th at the Decatur Education Foundation Tour Decatur fun run. (www.tourdecatur.com) Feel free to contact Coach Nichols and Coach Johns with questions regarding iRUN or Tour Decatur scholarships at knichols@csdecatur.net & njohns@csdecatur.net.

SAVE THE DATE! The first Talley Walk N’ Roll of 2022 is coming up Friday, March 4!
This months’ walk will coincide with Georgia’s celebration of National Walk N’ Roll day (or GWalk) during the month of March. As always, we’ll greet our Talley Families & Staff who participate in WNR with coffee at school and have motivational “swag” for kids participating whether walking, biking or bus riding! Coordinate a neighborhood walking group and get out and walk on March 4! Even on non-Walk N’ Roll days consider parking nearby and walking the rest of the way! It’s a fun & healthy way for kids to start their day!
