Grange Hall Families,

The Grange Hall Bull Dog Fun Run is kicking off in just 3 weeks! This year, we’re raising funds for educational resources, and we need your help! Watch the video below to learn about how our upcoming #boosterthon fundraiser works.

We would like to welcome Mrs. Debra Franklin to our Grange Hall faculty. Mrs. Franklin is joining our fifth grade team and will be serving those students who had Ms. Burns. We would also like to congratulate Ms. Burns as she joins our admin team serving as our Dean of Students at Grange Hall. Ms. Burns got married in January and her new name is Mrs. Atkinson!

Old Business:

  • Valentine's Day - we do allow students to exchange Valentine's on Feb. 14. Non-food items such as pencils, stickers, etc. are allowed. Class lists will be shared by your child's teacher.
  • The Office of Family and Community Engagement is hosting a Middle School Transition Fair on February 20, between 6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m at CTC@Hull St. This fair is for families navigating into and through the middle school years. A keynote presentation and breakout sessions will be the format. Dr. David Elena will deliver the keynote based on his experiences as a school principal, administrator, teacher and father and share insights and information into the ever-changing adolescent mind. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. to provide attendees time to visit resource and vendor tables and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a keynote presentation, followed by a choice of two breakout sessions. Breakout sessions are designed for families entering sixth grade and current middle school students; recognizing the social, emotional, and physical changes in students; fostering responsible technology habits and Internet safety; and tips on heading to high school, including information on leveling, and specialty centers.

Message from GHES PTA

New Business:

  • The PTA nominating committee is looking for individuals who are interested and willing to serve on the PTA Officer Board for the 2020/2021 school year. The elections will take place in our April General Membership Meeting. The positions we are looking for are PTA President, VP Fundraising and Secretary. Please fill out the Intent to Serve Form and send it into the school with Attention: GHES PTA. (see form below)

Old Business:


We are looking for Volunteers to bring in a variety of Scrumptious Chocolate Dessert items. These items may be store bought or homemade!

You may drop off donations the day before the event (Wednesday, February 12) or the day of the event (Thursday, February 13) before 9:30am that morning. There will be a cart by the front door to place all donations or you may also leave your item at the front office.

The 2nd chance Boosterthon family store is now open. If families or teachers are not sure if they have placed their orders they can do one of 2 things: 1.) search their emails for a confirmation receipt from Booster Spirit Wear or 2.) reach out to Meg Rosenberg directly at ghpta.vpfundraising@gmail.com. The cost is now $6.00 per shirt.

Families should purchase their child's grade level color shirt first. If families, faculty or staff would like to order additional shirts in other colors, we encourage you to do so.

The GHES Dance (formally known called the Daddy/Daughter dance) will be Friday, February 21st from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Please join us for a formal “Night Under the Stars!” Students and their guest will enjoy the professional DJ and photographer, crafts, sweet treats & more!
