November 2, 2022 - NEWSLETTER
SLPHS families,
We are entering the home stretch of the first trimester 1. We have 19 school days remaining. The wonderfully warm weather may make it hard to accept we have entered the month of November, but we have, and the trimester concludes on December 1 for students.
Please continue to support your student’s highest levels of attendance in class and engagement with their learning. We want all students to end the term strong and make significant academic and learning gains.
We had more than 1,100 individual conferences with more than 400 families during October. We received positive feedback from staff and parents about conferencing and communications. There are many strong examples of school and family partnerships that were developed or leveraged to support student learning. Thank you for partnering with us.
We have another opportunity for you to engage with your child’s learning tomorrow evening at our high school curriculum night, 5-7 p.m. I encourage all families to come, meet teachers and learn more about curriculum and your student’s learning experiences. While parents can access much of this information in Schoology, this event is designed to be more conversational and give you a greater understanding of the course content and experiences.
As we end this week, we have your entertainment covered with a couple of opportunities to show our support for our Panthers. This is the final run of the high school fall play – Peter and the Starcatcher – a prequel to Peter Pan. Two shows remain – Thursday (schedule change) at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. It’s a great show for all ages – get a ticket online or at the door. On Friday, we host the section finals football game against Rogers at 7 p.m. All are invited to come out for a great game.
Thank you as always for your partnership. One school, one community, #SLPPantherProud!

Principal
