Edgar went to West Point Academy and later on was expelled in 1831.
He married Virginia Eliza Clemm Poe on May 16, in 1836. She was 7 when he was 20 when they met and it made their relationship very awkward and creepy, and the fact that she was his cousin made it worse. They married when she was 13 and he was 27. He wrote “The Black Cat” and the “Tell Tale Heart” in the same year, except on different dates. “The Black Cat” was written on August 19th of 1843, and “The Tell Tale Heart” was written in January of 1843. The book “The Raven” was published in 1845.

The death of Edgar Allan Poe occurred October 7th 1849 in Baltimore Md , it was a mysterious death . The death’s cause was never really fully discovered . Alcohol , carbon monoxide poisoning , heavy metal poisoning or even a beating ? Edgar was only 40 years old when he died . He was a very talented man was a American author , poet , editor and literary critic . Edgar began writing and writing poems when his parents died in the year of 1811 . Edgar became an orphan at the age of 3 . His parents were traveling actors but family were dirt poor. He didn't have a stable home when he was born . Edgar’s wife’s name was Virginia Eliza Clemm she died at the age of 24 . She wasn't just a wife she was also his cousin which was part of the reason people didn't agree with their relationship. Edgar’s death still remains a mystery .
