Coronavirus Update
- To keep parents updated and informed, there is information about the coronavirus on the district website under the Health Services section: This page will function as an up-to-date resource for families. Included are archived coronavirus district communications, FAQs and relevant links.
- Teachers will be talking to students and bringing them through a safety exercise which includes a video and materials to inform the students about the facts of the virus, symptoms, and good practices like frequent hand washing and coughing or sneezing into one's sleeve. If you would like to see some of the activities or videos that students will see, please do not hesitate to reach out. Our school nurse will also be available to classrooms to answer questions and go over hand washing techniques, etc. The objective of this exercise is not to scare students but to inform them and remind them of basic and common sense good hygiene techniques.
- Attached is a short guide to help teachers talk to parents. It is specific to Stoughton Area School District, so you are encouraged to read it if you have questions.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
Pokemon Cards
It is not a good idea to bring any toys to school because they can get broken or lost.
Cell phones are allowed to be brought to school but must not be used while on school grounds unless special permission is given by the Principal or the Dean of Students.

We have hung a banner outside the front office showing our progress toward our large goal. Please, know that participating in ANY Sandhill fundraiser is optional. We try to offer a variety of fundraising opportunities throughout the year so that our families can choose which (if any) is right for them. If you would like more information about our fundraising options or efforts, please send us an email with your questions or come to our next meeting on Monday, March 2 at 6:30pm in the Sandhill Library (see below for details). Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the students and staff at Sandhill Elementary.
