Monday's Keynote: Principal, Dr. Steve Perry
"It's not an Achievement Gap - it's an Access Gap."..... "When we focus on children, we will get the children where they want to be - many of us are here because someone didn't look where we are, but helped us see where we want to be."....."Being poor does not make you dumb, incorrigible, uneducable."....."We must accept responsibility as educators - look in the mirror - every great educator accepts full responsibility for their student's learning."
Tuesday's Keynote: Teacher, John Hunter
Created a Project Based Learning Game over 30 years ago, still a 4th grade teacher. John greets children every morning on the car line with, "There's one chance for greatness." (When six children exit the van he reminds them, "There's six chances for greatness.")....."Every gesture, every comment impacts a child's life and their chance for greatness."
Wednesday's Keynote: Filmaker, Lee Hirsch

"We know that brains absorb positives. It quickly learns brand new languages, picks up culture and the family’s experiences. But this same brain also absorbs negatives. It absorbs toxins, mixed messages, apathy, problems, fear, anger, threats or violence."
School Beats, Academy Art of Hip-Hop
