Final Weekly Reflection
Overview
This has been a great course for me. I have enjoyed each part and learned a lot along the way. I have begun implementing some of the ideas and concepts but still have a ways to go on others. I found nothing confusing about this course, I have learned many things and hope to continue to grow as an educator.
Apps , Apps , and More Apps
One of my favorite parts of this course was learning about all the useful apps and how to transition into more effective use of technology.
Personal Learning Network
One thing I would really like to work on is my PLN. I found this part of the class to be both surprising and useful. As a rural Montana educator, it is often difficult not to feel isolated. I plan to grow my personal learning network so this doesn't happen. I have much to learn about how to manage this but I am confident with the knowledge I have been given in this course I will be capable of achieving growth.
SAMR
This part of the course was challenging to me. I have had to make a shift in my mindset to help me better understand the SAMR model. I find it exciting and exhilarating at the same time. I look forward to shifting perspectives to make learning impact the students.
ISTE-Teacher Standards
I am definitely a work in progress. I do think that I am able to facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity. I plan to work on designing and developing digital age learning experiences and assessments. I want to make sure that the lessons I plan follow the SAMR model and are beneficial to my students growth.
