Osceola Science Charter School Newsletter - Nov 17 2017
We are beginning to experience cooler temperatures. That being said, we wanted to send a reminder regarding uniform sweaters/jackets. Students are permitted to wear non uniform sweaters/jackets to school, but are not permitted to wear them during school hours. All sweaters worn during the day must be school uniform containing the Osceola Science school logo. If your child is in need of a school sweater you may purchase one at Risse Brothers School Uniforms, contact information below.

Top School and Top Student.
Congratulations to Nada, our winning student!

3rd Grade Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) Parent Night
OSCS 2017-2018 FSA Information Session for our 3rd and 4th grade families took place on Thursday, November 16. Many families were in attendance in support to our efforts for academic excellence. During this session important assessment information was shared including testing expectations, format, dates, and promotion criteria. Thank you for your continuous support!
Orlando Science Center Overnight Trip
Who: Students and Parents of Orlando Science, Seminole Science, and Osceola Science (siblings age 5 and older are also welcome to attend).
When: Friday, January 19th at 5:30pm through Saturday, January 20th at 10:00am
Where: Orlando Science Center
Cost: $50 per person
- Payments can be made online ONLY on www.schoolpay.com.
- Payment Deadline: Wednesday, January 1st
*Every student must be accompanied by an adult. A parent/guardian may chaperone more than one sibling. All chaperones MUST be an approved Oasis volunteer to attend.
There are a limited number of spots, so please sign up ASAP.
If you are attending and plan on using your annual pass, please let us know. You may use your pass to receive free admission for one adult.

Teachers Appreciation Thanksgiving Luncheon
The Teacher Appreciation Thanksgiving Luncheon, will be held Tuesday, November 21. We have received several RSVP already and are hoping to have a wonderful spread of food for our amazing teachers. We are also seeking 3 to 4 gracious parents to assist with Lunch Duty on Tuesday, November 21st so our teachers can enjoy their lunch.
