STAAR

We are all SO glad that the STAAR test is over for the year. We would like to say a sincere Thank You for all you have done to partner with us to make sure your child was as confident and comfortable as possible this week. Please remember that to us, your child is WAY more than a test score and we truly enjoy getting to work with your child each and every day! Your precious child deserves a fun filled weekend!

What We Are Learning This Week

Language Arts with Mrs. Trueblood: We are going to start a book club on the I Survived series. These fictional stories are based on historical events. We will be having great discussions, as well as incorporating our reading and writing skills into various activities.

***Each child needs earphones to keep at school to use when working on the computers.

Science with Mrs. Naragon: We have finished our unit on plants and will now be moving on to our life science unit on animals.

Social Studies with Mrs. Naragon: Students will research, identify and compare the heroic deeds of state and national heroes.

Math with Mrs. Moore: Next week we will continue to review concepts taught throughout the year. Students have worked very hard on word problems and strategies to be successful on the STAAR test. I can't wait to see them shine on Tuesday!

Save the Date - May 12th!

Great Expectations of the Week

Life Principle: Patience
