Hybrid learning will begin soon for elementary students
Vancouver Public Schools, consistent with new guidance from the Wash. Dept. of Health, will soon begin hybrid instruction for elementary students. The district’s board of directors expressed support for the start of hybrid learning at its Jan. 12 board meeting as recommended by the superintendent.
Timeline
- Jan. 19: Kindergarten in-person hours expand
- Jan. 25: Grades 1-2
- Feb. 1: Grades 3-5
Parents of elementary students received a survey on Jan. 13 asking them to indicate whether their children will participate in hybrid learning or stay in full remote learning.
After the survey is completed, families will receive more information from principals.
Middle and high schools
We ask for the community’s help in following public health guidance and reducing COVID-19 transmission so that more students can return to in-person learning.
