Thank you from PTSA
PTSA would like to thank the many, many parents — listed below and others — who donated gift cards, desserts and volunteered to help with the Back-to-School Teacher Luncheon for the 200+ staff at CHHS. Your generous donation of time and resources made the event extra special. Extra kudos go out to Jackie Turner and Paola Cervantes, the PTSA staff appreciation chairs who coordinated the event. Many thanks to Las Hadas Catering for the delicious food with plenty to share. PTSA would like to also thank Jason Ridley with Nationwide Insurance for his generous sponsorship of the luncheon, both the cost of catering, and numerous donations of door prize drawings for teachers.

CHHS Cross Country
This week CHHS XC hosted the second Panther Run. Out of ten teams competing, the Varsity Girls won the meet and the Varsity Boys got second. The Junior Varsity teams did well with the JV Girls earning second place and the JV Boys were third.
We had a copious amount of great performances from the week. The Varsity Girls had four entries in the top ten with Samantha Widmann (8th), Gretchen Pfeiffer (7th), Brenna Casey (2nd), and Sophie Leathers (1st). The JV Girls had freshman Ena Hopkins (7th) and sophomore Nada Haddad (5th) finish in the top ten. The girls raced in a manner in which they were preparing for the District, Region, and State meets: unconcerned with their finish in this meet. They ran Spartan from the start of the race to the finish line.
The Varsity Boys and JV Boys also had great results as well. Seniors Trey Clower (8th) and Kory Ellis (10th) were top ten finishers in the varsity race as sophomore JD Sanders (6th) also finished in the top ten in the JV Race.
CHHS XC wants to thank all of our supporters. We also want to say thank you to all the parents and volunteers who helped make the CHHS Panther Run such a great event. The teams' results come from all your time, patience, and support. Thank you.
