District FFA programs to host spring plant sales
News Article
Northwest ISD’s three comprehensive high schools – Byron Nelson, Eaton and Northwest – will host their annual plant sales during the second weekend of April, providing students, parents and community members with the opportunity to buy inexpensive plants and benefit local education.
All schools will host their plant sales from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8. On Saturday, April 9, each school will sell plants from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sales will be conducted in each school’s greenhouse. Byron Nelson is located at 2775 Bobcat Blvd. in Trophy Club, Eaton is located at 1350 Eagle Blvd., Haslet and Northwest is located at 2301 Texan Drive in Justin.
Reminder of upcoming graduation ceremonies
James M. Steele Early College High School will take place 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, in the Vernon Solomon Performing Arts Center at Northwest High School.
Northwest ISD’s three comprehensive high schools will graduate Tuesday, May 31, at the University of North Texas Coliseum. Eaton will graduate at 10 a.m., followed by Northwest at 2 p.m. and Byron Nelson at 6 p.m.
If applicable, please refer to UNT Coliseum's clear bag policy.
School to extend 3 minutes after spring break
Because Northwest ISD had a delayed start because of road conditions, TEA mandated this time must be made up. To do so, every campus will now dismiss students three minutes later than their standard dismissal time. Pre-K sessions will similarly dismiss students three minutes later than normal, and bus departure times for the end of the school day will also see a three-minute delay.
Report an absence on our website
