"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list" -Susan Sontag
My name is Mrs. Christine Terenchin or Mrs. T. for short and for those of you who have not heard yet, I am delighted to announce that I will be serving as the Specialty Program Coordinator for the Center for International Studies and Languages program this year.
Over my five years as a social studies teacher at C. D. Hylton Senior High School it has been an honor to teach and work with CISL students both on their international research projects and as a teacher of the AP World History and AP Comparative Government & Politics (AP COGO) courses. Last year I had the opportunity to shadow Mrs. Campagna in her work as the coordinator, to work with our student executive board, our families, boosters, and community members while serving as the CISL department chair.
As the new Specialty Program Coordinator I am looking forward to working with students in the CISL program, planning opportunities for students to broaden their global experiences and understanding of different cultures and languages. I also look forward to meeting with ALL CISL students one-on-one throughout the fall, and I want you to know that my door is always open. If you have questions or concerns please call or email me and we can set up a time to talk.
CISL holds a special place in my heart and I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you all to make the 2022-2023 school year the best year yet for CISL!
Sincerely,
Christine Terenchin
Specialty Coordinator for Hylton High School
