MONTE VISTA'S TALENT SHOW IS BACK!

After a couple of years of being on hiatus, we are excited to announce that our Monte Vista Talent Show will be held on Friday, May 12th! For more information on auditions and permission slip, click on this link.


CALKIDS SAVINGS ACCOUNT

This year, the State of California launched the California Kids Investment and Development Savings Program (CalKIDS). CalKIDS gives children in California a jumpstart on saving for college or career training. To be eligible for CalKIDS, participants must be born in California on or after July 1, 2022 or an eligible low-income public school student in grades 1-12 in California. All qualifying participants receive a seed deposit in a CalKIDS account to help pay for future education after high school!


How to find out if your child qualifies:

  1. Visit the CalKIDS website at calkids.org/the-basics/who-is-eligible

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page where it says “Low-income Public School Students, 1st–12th Grade”

  3. Enter your child’s 10-digit Statewide Student Identifier (SSID) number in the box where it says “check to see if your child is eligible to participate.”

  4. You can find your child's 10-digit SSID by visiting our parent portal at parent.gusd.net


Note: CalKIDS accounts for current first graders will not be available until later this spring.

New applicants interested in applying to Monte Vista Korean DLI for 2023-2024 school year MUST apply to participate in the lottery. Please encourage your families with incoming kinders to apply. Click here The application window for the 2022-23 school year will be November 1, 2022 through January 31, 2023.

PTA Honorary Service Awards - We have amazing volunteers at Monte Vista! The Monte Vista PTA is looking to acknowledge individuals and organizations for outstanding community service to our school and to students in our community. The Honorary Service Award Committee encourages you to submit nominations.
