J Dilla or James Yancey, was born on February 7, 1974 in Detroit, Michigan. Also he was the oldest of four children. As he got he gained many jobs related to his musical talents. Such as musical producing, recording, rapping, and being a DJ or disc jockey. Growing up in the hip hop scene he had major accomplishments from making a beat for hip hop artist Biggie Smalls, to signing to MCA records in 2002. Also, he worked with Kanye West. But it came to an end when he was diagnosed with Lupus and died on February 10, 2006.
