examples of divisibility rules
345 is divisible by 3 because if you add them all up it equals 12 and 3 is divisible by 12
the number ends in 5 so it's divisible by 5
2.256 is divisible by 2
256 is an even number so it is divisible by 2
3.459 is divisible by 2,3,6,and9
the number is even so it's divisible by 2
the sum of these digits is 18
18 is divisible by 3,and 9
the number is divisible by 2 and 3 so it is divisible by 6
non- examples of divisibility rules
120- It is not 6 because 20 is not a multiple of 6 and when you add the number it equals 3 not 6. It is not 9 because when you add all the number you het 3 not 9 and 20 is not a multiple of 9.
765- It is not 3 because when you add all the number you get 13 and 13 is not a multiple of 3. It is not 6 because when you up all the numbers you get 13 and 13 is not a multiple of 6 and 3 is not a multiple of 13. It is not 9 or 10 because it does not have 0 and when you add them up you get 13 and 13 is not a multiple of 9.
