Discipline that Works
Should we do time-outs? Time-ins? Is spanking okay? Discipline is often a difficult and sensitive topic in which many parents feel ineffective or inadequate. In this talk Dr. Breuninger will first discuss the true purpose of discipline and how understanding this purpose can help us think anew about how we discipline. Discussion will also be given to children's cognitive and brain development as important determinants in how we correct and educate their behavior. Finally, we will discuss how discipline can be foundational in helping or hindering a child develop a positive and secure image of God.
