Dr. Qi Wang, professor of Cultural Psychology, a CAPS counselor and 2 students will share their perspectives. Catered dinner from Aladdin’s Natural Eatery, Moes’ Southwest Grill and Taste of Thai Express. Come early to ensure a seat. Free and co-sponsored by Cornell Minds Matter, ALANA and International Student Union.
Message from the Student Assembly:
The forum will be held around restructuring the Student Assembly in order to forge a more inclusive, accepting, and truly representative future. As you may know, a group of students came to the SA this month with a proposal to add an additional "First Generation Liaison At-Large" representative seat. I am excited to say that it has been passed, and that this seat will be elected in the Fall Semester.
Since then, we have been actively thinking of additional changes that could be made, and will be holding an open forum to discuss suggestions and allow community members to propose changes. In order to move towards a more inclusive representative shared-governance system, I ask that you please encourage members of ALANA to attend and share their views on how we should go about doing this. If any members are unable to attend, but would like to provide input, please encourage them to do so using this form. Thank you so much in advance and feel free to reach out to me or Emma Johnston (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions! Have an amazing Spring Break!
