Lunch Time
It’s so wonderful to have all of our students back in our building. As a school community and District, we are committed to providing our students with a successful in-person learning experience. As we have a few days of the 2021-22 School Year behind us, we have seen an uptick in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in our elementary schools. With the uptick in cases, we have also seen an increase in the number of students quarantined due to close contact at lunch due to current local contact tracing and quarantine rules.
We do believe that our current school lunch plans across our District are safe. However, in an effort to reduce the number of students in quarantine, our school made a few small modifications during lunch periods to allow for 6 feet of physical distancing between students. Adding the additional distance will allow us to reduce the number of students in quarantine should a positive case arise at our school.
Our in-person learning plans need to remain flexible and adjust when necessary so that we can do all we can to keep students learning in school.
Bus Quarantine Guidelines
- Students who are within 6 feet of the confirmed case, for cumulative of 15 minutes are required to quarantine for 10 days.
When we have a confirmed case, I watch the bus videos for the route to school, and the route from school. I time each student's exposure who is within 6 feet of the student, and then we call to notify you if you are considered a close contact.
During the ten day quarantine, your child will have access to school assignments, will have daily contact from your teacher, and will have access to a support teacher if additional support is needed.
