Welcome Back Staff Luncheon
Back-to-School Orientation & Picnic
The first day of school for 6th graders will be Tuesday, September 3, with a special "Coffee with the Principal" for 6th grade parents beginning at 7:45 a.m. All grades will attend classes on Wednesday, September 4.
7th Grade LEC Information Sessions
This fall's 7th Grade Laurentian Environmental Center (LEC) trip is scheduled for Monday, October 21, to Friday, October 25. More information will be shared during our parent information sessions during Orientation. Initial parent information sessions will be held in the library (LMC) on the following dates/times:
Friday, August 23, at 8:30 & 9:30 a.m.
Monday, August 26, at 4:30, 5:30, and 7:00 p.m.
7th grade parents, we hope to see you at one of our sessions.
Birthday Books Donation Request
Edgewood would like to continue the tradition of giving every student a brand new book on their birthday (or half-birthday) this year, but will need some support to do so. Please consider using this Google Form to donate to this wonderful literacy program at Edgewood. We will also have an information table set up and a donation bucket at the Back-to-School picnic. Thank you for your consideration!

Edgewood's Fall Musical
Edgewood's Fall Musical will be Lion King, Jr. which will run November 14-16, 2019. Student auditions will be held the second week of school. Edgewood's Fall Musical will be Lion King, Jr. which will run November 14-16, 2019. Student auditions will be held after school in the choir room on Monday, September 9, and Tuesday, September 10. Interested students should sign up for a slot on the choir room door. Students who want a small role can sing 30 seconds of a song of their choice with 2-3 friends. Students who want a larger role will sing individually and read from a script. All students who audition are cast, so no stress at all! See Mr. Perucco or Ms. Kourajian for more information.

The Application for Educational Benefits form (Free & Reduced Lunch Application) can be found here. Paper applications are also available in Student Services. Applications are available in English and Spanish. If you would like an application mailed to your house please call 651-621-6024. PLEASE NOTE: A new application must be completed each school year.

STUDENT/COMMUNITY ED ACTIVITIES
Middle school co-curricular sports are a great way to engage in friendly competition. Athletes compete in individual, partner, or team events in a wide range of sports throughout the year.
- All participants receive a free activities t-shirt!
- Practices and competitions held immediately after school.
- Activity buses are available after practices for those eligible students.
- Practices run from 2:30 p.m. - 3:25 p.m, and competitions from about 3:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m., however some competitions vary on their beginning and ending times.
- Transportation is provided to and from a students' home school for all competitions.
- Activities do not meet on Fridays nor non-school days.
Registration for Fall activities are now open. Register Online NOW - Search for programs and register online using Visa, Mastercard or Discover. Paper registration forms are also available to students, they can be found in Student Services. You may also print a registration form.

Middle School Registration/Consent Form
Seventh & eighth grade athletes that wish to participate on a high school team will also register online. Before you begin your online registration, approval must be obtained from the middle school principal or dean, the high school activities director and coach. In addition, signatures from both student & parent/guardian are also required. Please complete the following consent form and deliver to the high school activities office before you begin the online registration:

Box Tops - Please save all of your Box Tops and turn them in at Edgewood. There is a drop box in the front office of the school. This is just another way to earn money for our kids. Please be sure Box Tops are not expired as they will not accept.
