Hello SLA-MS Families! Here's what is happening at SLA-MS
At School
Snack donations are needed! Students are growing! We are in need of healthy snacks such as granola bars, crackers and others that are allergy friendly. Please bring your donations to the office.
Tomorrow: Bead Art with Ms.Ko is back! Sign up close to her room.
Appropriate & safe snacks for school do not include glass containers and shelled seeds. Please save these snacks for after school.
Friday, April 27th: Track meet after school at Marcus Foster Field at Simon Gratz High School located at 1600 Staub Street. Good Luck to the SLA-MS Team!

Save the date!! Sunday, June 3rd, 5pm at The URBN Center Black Box Theater . This will be a culminating event including student art & written work through the year and a performance of original plays written & produced by SLA-MS students.Stay tuned for more details!

May 12, 2018: University City Arts League is holding its annual fundraiser! UCAL provides many of the mini-courses at SLA-MS. This year's celebration is called "Heart of Philadelphia". Click on the link to find out more about this fundraiser to support this SLA-MS partner.

Al-bustan Seeds Camp: Al-Bustan’s Arabic language and cultural day camp is back for another summer of fun and learning in Center City! Here is more information about this cultural organization's summer camp.
April 30th: Applications are due for Super Camp, offered by Grass Roots Community Organization. This camp describes itself as a "family-based camp for girls of African descent." The camp "is based on psychological theories that recognize the relationship between positive racial and social identity development for children’s well-being."
