Kind World Foundation Scholarship Briefing

Seniors will meet in the Auditorium to learn more about all the Scholarships that the Kind World Foundation is offering this year. If you have an out of building on this day, please make plans to attend if you are interested in applying.
November/December Calendars At A Glance
Seniors - Make Sure You Are Completing Your CPR Requirement.
Seniors, please check your email for the CPR canvas class that you need in order to graduate. Once you complete the mini-course, Tuesdays or Thursdays you will check in with your homeroom teacher and go down to Room 142 to demonstrate CPR and get your name checked off the list.
After School Study Sessions - Offered 3 Days A Week
~November ~ After School Study Sessions
East High offers ALL students the opportunity to attend the After School Study Session. The sessions are available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday’s every week. From 3:05 – 6:05 pm. Students have the opportunity to make-up assignments, re-takes quizzes or tests, credit recovery, and the best part is you have one-on-one help.
There are always teachers there for assistance. There is a 5:00 pm bus available to take students who require transportation. Any questions can be directed to Ms. McCaslen-Hibbs mccasla@live.siouxcityschools.com.

As we receive the 2021-22 scholarship information, we will update it in the month it is due. To get a head start on things this year you can look at what was available last year and begin compiling and preparing for them this year.
If you have any questions, please visit your Counselor in the Main Counseling Office.
A little time spent now will return great dividends for your future.

Senior Photos!
The first round of senior photos for yearbook use should be turned into Mrs. Shultz via shultzd@live.siouxcityschools.com. SILVER CORD For GRADUATION
SILVER CORD – A Service-Based Student Organization here at East High.
Students MUST document all service activities on the Silver Cord Award Form provided by East High – one form for each site or project, signed by a supervisor at the site. (A note confirming the students’ service signed by the supervisor at the project is also acceptable. It must be attached to the Silver Cord Form). Forms can be submitted to Mrs. Benson at East High School at any time during the year. For sophomores and juniors: if you don’t turn in forms by the end of the school year, you may submit them at any time during the following fall. There is no specific deadline for underclassmen to submit forms, although it is best to turn them in as soon as they are completed.
Student’s that graduate in 2022, and 2023 will need a total of 110 service hours to earn their silver cord. Student who graduate in 2024 will need 120 service hours to earn their silver cord. If you have any questions, please stop by Mrs. Benson’s desk in the main office.
