December Young Athletes Schedule
Special Olympics Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities (ID), ages 2 to 7 years old. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, like running, kicking and throwing. Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.

The Center for Communication Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is a full-service speech, language, and hearing clinic serving children and adults in the Chippewa Valley. We provide services in the CCD which features a reception area and two waiting rooms, 16 treatment rooms with observation deck, an Augmentative and Assistive Technology Lab, and a Speech Science and Voice Lab, to name a few. We are also able to provide services via Telepractice as needed or requested. Services are provided by undergraduate and graduate student clinicians working toward advanced degrees in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. All students are supervised by fully licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologists.

Autism and Driving
Join us for a discussion on autism, driving and related community resources. Sarah Schroeder, Community Work Incentives Coordinator at Employment Resources Inc., will start the discussion with an overview of ERI's pre-driving assessment services. Master's Driving School will continue the discussion on what driving instruction might look like for a person with autism. The last part of the event will be reserved
for questions and discussion.
Building the Bridge to Adult Health Care
Free virtual presentation and conversation
For families, who have children with complex care needs, to learn about the transition from
child-centered (pediatric) to adult health care systems.
The idea of transition may feel over-whelming. This interactive training will help you to decide when to start talking about health care transition and tips for talking with your child, starting at age 12. You will leave with helpful tools and resources and will start a plan for health care transition for your child and family.
