Unit 7
Sight words - why, two, veryReading - We will discuss author's purpose for writing text, discuss how he use of text structure contributes to the author's purpose, and discuss with adult assistance the author's use of print and graphic features to achieve specific purposes.
Phonics - We will use knowledge of base words to decode contractions.
Math
Unit 6,7,8
We will add and subtract using concrete and pictorial models to determine the sum/difference of ten and a one-digit number in problems to 99.Science
Unit 6
We will record weather information, including relative temperature such as hot or cold, clear or cloudy, calm or windy, and rainy or icy.We will collect, record, and compare information using tools, including computers, weather instruments such as demonstration thermometers and wind socks.
Social Studies
Unit 4
We will identify contributions of historical figures, including Sam Houston, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln, who have influenced the community, state, and nation.
