Mrs. Fortunato’s Message
Happy Memorial Day!
The Parent Information meeting went well. Mrs. Casserly sent out the Meeting Minutes before the weekend. Please let me know if you have any questions.
The Feast of the Ascension is Thursday, May 30th. It is a Holy day and we will celebrate at 9 am Mass. The Feast of the Ascension is celebrated forty days after Easter Sunday. After Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, he was seen for forty days before he ascended into heaven to be "seated at the right hand of God the Father." The concept of Jesus saying goodbye to the disciples and ascending to God in Heaven is an opportunity to offer to children the importance of how we live our lives on earth.
