From the Principal's Desk...
Dear MHS Parents and Guardians,
This edition of the Newsletter will be brief. We have a few important dates/events coming up and I want to make sure I get the information out to you before next week.
Midterm/Finals Next Week
Next week is the last week of Semester 1. Our midterm/finals testing schedule will begin on Tuesday and run through the end of the week. All days next week are scheduled to be full days of school, with only a slight change in rotation on Wednesday, January 26th. The class rotation schedule will be shared with students via email on Monday. The last day of Semester 1 is Friday, January 28th.
Report Cards
Report cards will be visible on the X2 portal the afternoon of February 7th. Please be on the lookout for an email from me with instructions for accessing this information in X2.
Google Tools for Organization Training
Based on feedback we received from students and staff earlier this school year, we are providing all MHS students with training on Google Calendar and Google Keep. As students and staff adjust to a more digital environment, it can be a challenge to stay organized. Our Instructional Technology Department worked with our teachers to develop 20 minute training modules to help students navigate these two key organizational tools. Our Social Studies and Math teachers will facilitate these training sessions in their classes during the first two weeks of February. Both presentations will also be available for students and families to access on our MPS Student and Family Digital Resources Site.
Enjoy your weekend and I look forward to a successful end to the first semester!
Sincerely,
Tim Tichacek
Principal
