What is our homework vs. make up work policy?
I know there has been some confusion regarding our homework and make-up work policies.
As for homework, teachers may assign readings and movies with at least 5 days notice. The reason for not giving homework is because most of our students have processing and/or anxiety issues and takes a great amount of energy for them to do the work. They NEED downtime in the evening to decompress. With that in mind, students are required to have a Netflix account. On occasion, and with plenty of notice to parents, students may be required to attend a function outside of school or bring in specific items. Please do not require students to complete writing or math assignments at home, or projects.
Students who miss school are required to do make up work. All of your assignments should be posted online so that if a student misses school, he or she knows what is expected the following day.

Which teacher are you?
Using Rubrics to Grade Projects
Determining how you will grade each project can be overwhelming and often difficult to determine where to start. Using a rubric such as Rubistar will put together all criteria you will need for almost every subject and project. I highly recommend.
