Small As A Giant Photography and Conceptual Art Exhibition
Artist Ise Lyfe and The California Museum are excited to extend a special invitation to you and a guest for the premiere and opening reception for smallasaGIANT, a large-scale photography and conceptual art exhibition exploring the personal and societal stories of adult prison sentencing of youth in California. The exhibit will be running at the California Museum from January 20 - March 15, 2020.
The exhibit features photographs of people sentenced anywhere from 20+ years to life in prison when they were under the age of 18, alongside conceptual and multi-media art centered around the broader realities of incarceration and popular opinion. Additional aspects of the exhibit include audio and visual narratives, life stories and convictions, family commentary, as well as provocative presentations of data/research on historical and current trends in juvenile justice.
Join us for an evening of compelling art and a performance by the artist among the dynamic diversity of Sacramento!
