What is Leukemia?

Leukemia is a cancer that forms in blood-forming tissue. It is a uncontrolled growth of blood cells, usually white blood cells, in the bone marrow. The cells replace normal blood and marrow cells.

There is no known way to prevent Leukemia. Most people with it do not know that they have the risk factors.
