Super Hero Day
September 30th is the last day of the 1st six weeks! To celebrate, we are inviting all staff members to dress as their favorite Super Hero! This will be a staff dress up day only. Students will not be included.
The Principal's Den- from One Cool Cat to Another
Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Instruction, Cory Wilson will be stopping by from time to time. He LOVES to visit your classroom. These are some of his "look fors" when he visits his campuses. I think they are great questions to ask ourselves each and every day as they all align with our curriculum documents and with our own Bobcat 6 expectations.
- Are the teachers prepared?
- Are the kids "doing" or "listening"?
- Are the teachers finding out what the students know and can do during a lesson?
- Are teachers engaging with the students and making the most of every minute they have with them?
Flu Clinic
Just a reminder that Sunset Valley will be hosting a shot clinic on Thursday 9/29/2016 from 7am-8am. I highly encourage you to sign up to get the flu shot. Flu has already been felt by teachers on our own campus, in Keller, and the surrounding school districts. The flu vaccination takes approximately 2 weeks before it is effective, so the sooner in “flu season” you get the vaccination, the better your chances are of being protected.

Our learning coach, Ashlee Smith, has offered to facilitate a book study with all of us too! Anyone is welcome to participate! We are planning to meet four times to discuss the book and share ideas.
