Student Drop-off/Pick-up Area and Visitor Parking

The student Drop-off/Pick-up area remains the same as last year and is located in the teachers' parking lot along Roeloffs Road. Parents can enter the lot at the Roeloffs Road entrance located by the baseball field parking lot. Once in the parking lot, make a left and proceed along towards Pennwood. As you approach Pennwood, the drop-off/pick-up area is located after the loading dock entrance, near the overhang. After dropping off your child or picking them up, please proceed along the building to the one-way exit onto Roeloff's Road. Please do not ever make a U-turn in the parking lot and exit through the entrance that you entered. This creates a safety hazard.

Drop-off time starts at 7:45 and ends at 8:10 - students are not permitted in the building prior to 7:45

Pick-up time starts at 2:55 and ends at 3:15

Please do not drop your child off in the visitor's lot located by the statue of Wm. Penn during these times.

Visitor Parking is located in the lot along Makefield Road, by the statue of William Penn. The entrance to this parking lot is located on Roeloffs Road. Please use this parking lot for dropping off students after school has started (8:10) or picking up students prior to the end of the school day(2:55). Please enter the school through the doors located under the clock tower. Upon entering, please ring the buzzer. Even though, the office staff can see you, they are unable to electronically open the door until you ring the buzzer.

Chromebook Distribution

6th grade students who have already completed all of the necessary documentation and submitted their annual $40.00 fee will receive their Chromebooks on the first day of school. In order to achieve consistency and equity in technology, students entering 6th grade in the 2019-2020 school year will have the ability to lease a Chromebook from Pennsbury School District for an annual fee of $40.00. Families can pay the fee with cash, check, money order, or on-line through the SchoolCafe system(please note that there is a $2.00 convenience fee per child when paying through the SchoolCafe system). We will continue to accept payments and paperwork after the first day of school for all remaining students. This process will be completed through our school library during the month of September.

Sports Physicals

Student athletes in 7th & 8th grade are reminded, that in order to practice and participate in any sport, they must have a completed Pennsbury Athletic Eligibility Physical Form, dated after June 1, 2019. Athletic Eligibility forms dated after June 1st will be in good standing for the entire 2019-2020 school year.

Principal's Message

Hello Pennwood Parents,

I hope you have had a wonderful summer. My family and I enjoyed our time together traveling to NM and NC. Time flies when you are having fun. My Pennsbury pride beams brightly when I think about all of the students who have come through Pennwood and those who are soon starting this new school year. I look forward to an exciting year with my Assistant Principal, Mr. Vinny DePaola, the talented staff of Pennwood, and most especially, your awesome children. Enjoy the remaining days of summer and the updates that I have included in this newsletter. As always, please contact me, via e-mail or phone, if you have questions or concerns before the start of the school year.

Best regards,

Derek Majikas
