WORLD TRADE CENTER REBORN
The recreation of the fallen
New World Trade Center 1
The new world trade is about 1,776 feet tall. The height of the building represents the year of our country's independence. The antenna alone is 408 feet tall. At 1,368 feet, a glass enclosure is formed to show where the former World Trade Tower 1 would be standing. There are 104 floors and the observation deck will be built where the height of the World Trade Tower 2 would be standing.
Behind the Tower
In the new trade center, floors 20-63 and 65-88 are offices. On level 64 is the sky lobby. Floors 1-19 are just the base. The whole project has costed about $3.6 billion containing 2.6 million feet of floor space. In the new tower there is 71 elevators. It takes 45 seconds for the elevator to reach the top story. The elevator goes about 23 mph.
Memorial
The two pools of water are placed in the formation of where the two trades stood.
Memorial
Each pool has a 30 foot water fall.
Memorial
Each pool is bordered with names of the victims from 9/11 and from the bombing in 1993.
Production
This tower is made out of more than 45,000 tons of structural steal. Over 2,500 people worked on the tower daily. More than 400 swamp white oak trees were planted around the building. Each tree came within 500 miles of NYC, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C to remember the lost on Flight 93.
