*These dates will help align with summer school activities.
CANCELED:
Wrestling camp is canceled due to the nature of the sport and the inability to social distance.
Upon Arrival
- Athletes will have temperature taken upon arrival.
- Thermometers are infrared so there is no skin contact.
- If a student has a temperature of 100 or higher, he/she will be asked to go home. This is not a punishment but a safety precaution for everyone.
- Building usage will be allowed, but the student must go directly to the gym or weight room.
What to Bring
- Please arrive at practice facilities dressed & ready.
- Camp does not provide any gear. Campers should be properly equipped including all sport specific safety gear.
- Students will not be allowed to share their own personal equipment.
- Students must bring their own labeled drink(s) & no sharing will be allowed.
- Coolers & water fountains will NOT be available.
- Athletes are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer.
The Plan ...
- Weight room equipment will be sanitized & wiped down after each use.
- Team equipment used will be cleaned/sanitized after each use per practice/workout session.
- No spotting will be allowed.
- Breaks will be built in to each practice/workout session for personal hygiene purposes.
- Hand sanitizing is recommended as often as possible.
- One person at a time allowed in the restroom.
- Locker rooms are off limits at this time.
- Individual contact with another individual will be kept to a minimum.
- No high fives, handshakes, fist bumps, etc. - Air high fives, air fist bumps are encouraged.
- Daily attendance will be kept for contact tracking purposes if necessary.
- If a student feels sick or has cold symptoms or health concerns, he/she will be encouraged to stay home.
- Fever, shortness of breath/respiratory issues, coughing, body aches, chills & sore throat are symptoms to be aware of. If coaches witness any of these symptoms, the student will be sent home.
Camp Reminders
- Social distancing remains necessary when appropriate.
- Face-to-face contact will be kept to a minimum in all activities.
- Students will not be allowed to share their own personal equipment.
Ultimately, it is up to the individual student & his/her family if they want to participate. Students will not be penalized for not attending (as is always the case for summer participation).
