Back to School Night

This Wednesday, August 25th, is Back to School Night. It will start at 4:00 pm and goes until 6:00 pm. Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to see where their students' classes are located and meet the teachers. This is a drop in format so there will be no formal presentations from teachers, just a meet and greet.

  • Starts this Wednesday, August 25th.

  • It will be every Wednesday from 7:45 am to 8:20 am. All staff will be available at this time to provide additional support to students. This is a great opportunity for students to ask clarifying questions on assignments, prepare for an upcoming assessment or get caught up on material they missed due to an absence.

  • All staff are assigned to a location for academic support. Click here for staff locations.

Students looking to purchase a locker can do so now from the bookkeeping office from 7:45am - 3:45pm. Starting Wednesday, August 25th, students looking to purchase a parking permit can do so at the bookkeeping office from 7:45am -3:45pm.

If your student purchased a locker and/or a parking permit paid for online through payforit.net, please see the bookkeeper for the locker information and parking permit from 7:45am - 3:30pm.

Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

All students will receive FREE meals for the 2021-22 school year. However, all families are still encouraged to complete the free/reduced lunch application. Mask Mandate on Buses

Just a reminder that it is required that all students that ride a district bus MUST wear a mask. If you do not have a mask before getting on the bus, you will not be allowed to ride. Thank you for your cooperation.

Students can stop by the main office and grab one if it is lost during the day.

Daily Announcements

Announcements will be read daily during 3rd hour. Just in case your student misses them, they can be found on our website.

Service Dog on School Grounds

Beginning on Friday, August 27th, a service dog will begin accompanying a student throughout the day here at Mountain Range High School.

It is important for our parents to understand that the service dog may be in your child’s classroom at some point during the school day. Additionally, the dog will pass between classes with the student and, therefore, may be in common areas such as hallways, bathrooms, or other areas before, or at the same time as your student.

It is also important to understand that this is a working dog; please help your student to understand that a service dog is not a pet, and should not be treated as such. Avoid petting or playing with a service animal to help ensure that the service dog will be most effective and will help ensure the safety of all students.

Our school staff will make reasonable accommodations to ensure that those students with severe dog allergies or related issues do not come in contact with the service dog. To do this we need your help. If your child does have an allergy to dogs, or you have other concerns related to the service dog, please email Ms. Tiffany Hansen, principal at Tiffany.L.Hansen@adams12.org.

Covid Updates

Students and staff will not be required to quarantine in the event of an exposure during the school day. If a school is experiencing an outbreak, quarantines may be necessary. An outbreak is defined as five cases or more tied to the original positive case.

  • Quarantines may be necessary following exposures that occur during certain indoor co-curricular activities and athletics.

  • Vaccinated individuals will not need to quarantine in the event of an outbreak or identified exposure during co-curricular activities and athletics.

  • While quarantines may not always be necessary, the district will notify families and staff if they are considered a close contact of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 as a result of a school-based exposure.
