December 9 - Professional Development (2 Hour Early Dismissal for Students)

The following are the Kindergarten content areas and specific skills taught in the month of November.
- Reading/Language Arts: Unit 3: Going Places Kindergarten students learn to identify letters N, K, and I. The Kindergarten sight words are : I, can, and, see, the, a, we, to, go,
- Writing Fundamentals: How Writers Work
- Math:
Adding and Subtracting numerals
Shapes
- Social Studies: Everybody Works
- Science: Day and Night Sky
- Health: Caring For Your Teeth
Reminders:
- Field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium (Friday, December 18th).
- School is closed on Veteran's Day. Student conferences take place.
- Thanksgiving break runs from November 25th – 27th.
- Homework is due every Monday.
- Please remember to send ALL lunch money SEALED in an envelope. Check lunch balances regularly. Please see cafeteria manager with questions or comments.
- Please read a book every day or night.
- Please label your child’s belongings – coats, hats, gloves.
- Lost something? Check the lost and found container at the back of the stage in the cafeteria.
Come to school on time and be ready to learn!
