ALICE Information

We are excited to share that LVISD now has a free online ALICE Training portal available to all parents and family members of students in our district. ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) is an emergency response protocol designed to prepare our students, staff, and families to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from a critical incident on our campuses. The ALICE Training Institute has helped more than 5,000 school districts get prepared, including LVISD – and now our parents and families can take the same training provided to our students and staff. We will continue to send communication home with students and continue to send notifications by email and phone call. Please enroll in Titan to manage your student's cafeteria balance.

Valentine's Day Deliveries

La Vernia Intermediate will not allow deliveries on Valentine’s Day. Deliveries of flowers, balloons, and other gifts disrupt the instructional day. In addition, items such as glass vases and balloons are a safety hazard on school buses and on campus. Thank you for your support with this effort!

KINDNESS WEEK ~ Next week!

Please refer to the schedule sent home last week for specific theme days!

We did it! So incredibly proud of our students for taking on first place at our multi-school UIL Meet! A huge thank you to our 25 staff members and teachers for coaching the various events. Also, a shout out to Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Helmke for coordinating this spectacular UIL Meet for our school along with many others! Your leadership MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

UIL participants will enjoy a celebration ceremony here on campus during the school day later this month. At that time, competitors will enjoy cake and receive his/her certificate and/or medal at that time!
